California Property Taxes Due April 10 – Reminder & Update

  1. The Deadline

    • Second installment due April 10, 2025, by 5 PM or close of business


  2. How to Pay

    • Online, by mail (postmarked), or in person

    • Check with your county for specific instructions

    • Penalties and interest apply immediately after the deadline

  4. Important Exception: Governor’s Relief Order

    • In response to LA firestorms, Gov. Newsom suspended penalties and interest for one year, through April 10, 2026

    • Applies only to certain ZIP codes affected by wildfires

    • Also suspends filing requirements for some property tax statements

  5. Eligible ZIP Codes

    • 90019, 90041, 90049, 90066, 90265, 90272, 90290, 90402, 91001, 91040, 91104, 91106, 91107, 93535, 93536
